Justine Kish vs. Sabina Mazo
Round 1 – Mazo opens with a high kick, but Kish pushes through it and lands several low kicks of her own. Mazo flashes out a front kick to the face, looking to keep distance and use her reach to her advantage. Kish is opening aggressively and rattling off punches, as well. Mazo with another high kick that lands flush. Kish staggers and looks a little rattled. Still, she retreats and shakes it off, though blood is running down from the eye. Kish looking to push forward, but Mazo is doing a great job of managing space. Kish is still investing in the legs, and Mazo is marked up on both of them. Kish having some success with her hands, as well. It’s a good scrap. one minute remains. Kish catches a kick and scores a takedown, setting up in her opponent’s guard. She gets a little bit of damage at the end. Close round, but MMA Junkie leans just toward Kish, 10-9.
Round 2 – Kish again opens up aggressive, looking to get in tight. Mazo gets back out to range and starts laying out the kicks again. She goes to all levels, but she’s not matching Kish’s volume. Kish catches a leg again but can’t get her opponent off-balance. She does land a high kick as they break. Kish is making this a scrap. Mazo is able to land from range, but Kish is pushing forward and making it a dog fight. Mazo continues to kick to the legs and body and is crisp on a few counters. Kish tries for a clinch, but it’s not there. Her left eye is bloodied, but she is grinding. MMA Junkie again leans slightly toward Kish, 10-9.
Round 3 – Kish again out quickly, and rattles of combinations. She catches a kick and tries to land a spinning elbow, but it’s blocked. Mazo scores with a hard kick to the body. High kick lands. Another high kick lands. Mazo with a great stretch there. She lands a left hand as Kish moves forward. Mazo still looks very comfortable in the pocket. Kish still movng well and looking to be the busier fighter. Mazo with a knee inside. Kish still grinding, but she may be slowing down just a little, and Mazo is finding the mark more frequently. High kick lands clean, and Kish hits the deck. Mazo rushes down, gets to the back and sinks in a rear-naked choke on a stunned opponent. Kish tries to resist, but she’s caught and has to tap. Great win from Mazo.

Bryan Barberena vs. Anthony Ivy
Round 1 – Barberena has the center, and Ivy circles right on the outside. Ivy trying to cut off the cage, but he misses a low kick, and Ivy changes levels and drives the action to the fence. Barberena sprawls agains the cage. Ivy deep on a single, but he can’t get his opponent off-balance. He switches to a double and drags him down to a seated position, but Barberena is quickly back on his feet. Barberena with a few short punches inside. He grabs a Thai clinch and drives in a few knees before finally pulling away. Ivy slips on a high kick, but Barberena can’t get on top of him before he returns to feet. Barberena with a punch that stuns Ivy. Barberena pushes forward and lands a big elbow up top, as well. Ivy shakes it off. Two punches land from Barberena, and Ivy shoots again. Barberena defends again from the cage. He’s tripped off-balance. Barberena scrambles to his knees, but Ivy stays attached. Punches inside, and he drags Barberena flat in the final seconds. MMA Junkie gives the first to Barberena, 10-9.
Round 2 – Ivy hunts the takedown early, but Barberena pushes down on the head. Ivy’s effort relentless. Barberena defends against the fence. Eventually, he’s able to switch to the outside and pull free. Low kicks traded. Punches traded. Barberena complains of an eye poke, but we continue. Barberena stalking from the center. Ivy firing big shots but struggling to find the mark. He clinches again, but it’s not there. Barberena lets his hands go, and Ivy falls to a knee and shoots. Ivy desperate for a takedown, but it’s not happening. Barberena lands a few punches before they break. Ivy clearly throwing with power, but Barberena moving well and countering. Both men laboring a bit with a minute left. Ivy scores with a right hand.He misses on a big overhand. Barberena walking through punches right now to deliver his own. They finish in the clinch. MMA Junkie gives it again to Barberena, 10-9.
Round 3 – Ivy loading up on big punches but missing. He shoots in again, and Barberena sprawls. Ivy finally gets the takedown on his second effort. Barberena gets to a seated position, and they trade punches. Ivy refusing to break his grip on the body. Barberena stands anyway. He finally pulls away. Barberena stalking on the restart. He wants to throw hands. Ivy shoots again, but he’s pushed away. Another shot stuffed. Barberena tries to slip to the back, but he can’t. Rinse and repeat for Ivy, he is shooting relentlessly. Barberena stuffs it again and this time is controlling on the floor. Dominant spot for Barberena, but Ivy scrambles up. Punches traded, but Barberena clearly getting the best of it. Ivy again short on a takedown. Barberena defends and punches and crawls back to his feet. Less than a minute. Ivy gets a takedown, but Barberena gets to the fence and stands. Ivy drags him down again, but Barberena looks for a kimura from the back. He runs out of time. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Barberena, 10-9, and awards him the fight 30-27.

Turner with a few knees as he defends then briefly controls the neck before backing away. Weaver kicks to the leg. Weaver bleeding a bit from the nose. He shoots, but it’s not there. Turner looking to stay at range and use his length. Front kick for Turner. Left hook lands. Straight right for Turner. He’s dialed in right now. Weaver kicks the legs but eats a right hand. He tries a sneaky little trip that’s not there. Weaver lands with a right hand. His low kicks are landing, but he’s struggling to get much else going. Still, Weaver game to engage. Nice low kick from Turner. He lands a lead left. One minute left. Turner lands again, and Weaver hits the deck. Turner rushes on top and lands a few left hands. Weaver grabs the leg and creates a sweep. He lands a takedown of his own as they rise, and the round ends there. MMA Junkie gives the first to Turner, 10-9.
Round 2 – Weaver looking to stick and move, getting in and out of Turner’s range. He’s throwing with power early. Turner dealing with it well, slipping and landing from range. Turner very relaxed on his feet. He lands a nice front kick and a clean right. Turner to the body, as well. Weaver presses forward and into a clinch. Turner drives him to the cage and digs his head in the center. He pulls away and lands a left hand as they break. Weaver game to scrap, but Turner is moving well. Weaver’s corner wants more volume. Right hand drops Weaver. Turner doesn’t follow. Referee Herb Dean tells them to carry on. Turner backs away and tells Weaver to stand. Weaver definitely doesn’t look good. Turner with a few strikes and sends Weaver down again. Turner gets to the back and works in a choke. Tap comes shortly after. Weird sequence there from all involved, but Turner gets the win.

Round 1 – Romanov with a kick to the body. A second follows, and Martinez tries to grab the leg. Romanov pushes forward and gets a takedown. Martinez tries to grab a leg in a scramble, but Romanov pulls free and laces in a few big punches. Martinez tries to scramble up, but Romanov wraps the body and suplexes him to the floor. He grabs the head and squeezes, but Martinez able to slip free and scramble back to the feet. Martinez defending agains the fence and lands a nice elbow, but Romanov changes levels and drags him to the canvas. Half-guard for Martinez. Romanov looks for the head-and-arm, but it’s not there. He does step over to mount and laces in big punches from the top. Martinez covering well, but Romanov keeps punching. Romanov slows down and starts picking his shots a little better. Martinez still covering well, but he’s trapped on his back. One minute left. Romanov showboating on top, twirling his hand before punching. Romanov switches out to side control and grabs the keylock. Little sound comes from Martinez, and maybe a tap? We fight on, and the bell sounds. MMA Junkie gives it to Romanov, 10-8.
Round 2 – Romanov with a big kick to the body. Martinez trying to stay upright and slug it out, but Romanov changes levels again and gets the fight to the floor with relative ease. Romanov immediately in the dominant position, and he’s controlling from the top. Martinez trying to roll, but he’s trapped. Romanov steps over to mount agin. Romanov thinks about an armbar but lets it go to stay in top position. Side control. Back to mount. Punches again. Hammerfists coming down. Martinez is covering well again, but he’s offering absolutely nothing back. Martinez is trying to turn and scramble, but Romanov is just in absolute control. Romanov spins and loses contact, but Martinez can’t scramble up. Romanov right back down. He locks in an arm-triangle and squeezes, and Martinez taps, ending this one-sided matchup.

Round 1 – Roberts in the center, and Croom frantic with his movement on the outside. Roberts patient in the center, and Croom lands a crisp left hand. Roberts drops. Croom rushes forward and grabs the guillotine and twists as they stand. Roberts trying to work free, but that lock is in tight, and Croom not letting go. Roberts trapped and has to tap. Unbelievable result for Croom. Wow.

Julia Avila vs. Sijara Eubanks
Round 1 – Avila with a jab to open and a low kick. Eubanks swings back with flurries. Avila decides to turn up the volume, and they tee off on the feet. Slugging away in the pocket. Eubanks seems a little staggered, but she drives forward and secures the bodylock and slams the action to the floor. Wild start there, but now Eubanks is in side control. Knee to the body for Eubanks. Avila gets her legs up for an inverted triangle. Not there, but she creates a scramble and gets back to the feet. Avila now controlling in the clinch against the cage. Eubanks switches to the outside. Avila stays with it and scores a trip. As they fall, Eubanks able to secure a leg. No submission there, and Avila is able to scramble to the top. She moves to side control. Eubanks trying to frame. She turns to escape, and Avila is on the back. She’s too high, and Eubanks is bale to tripod and get her off. Eubanks gets to the back in the ensuing scramble, but the round ends. MMA Junkie gives the first to Avila, 10-9.
Round 2 – They engage on the feet quickly once again, though not quite as wild this time. Check that. Shortly after, it’s a crazy flurry again. Avila gets off-balance and falls to the canvas. She tries to grab a leg as Eubanks follows, but it’s not there. Avila looks for the armbar. Eubanks postures to escape and moves past the legs. Avila works back to half-guard. Eubanks tries to set up the arm-triangle, but it’s not there. She’s in side control. Avila turns to her hips, and Eubanks has the right arm trapped. The arm-triangle is in. Avila tries to press down to create room. It looks tight, but she guts through it and turns inside. That lets Eubanks get on her back. Choke is in, but Eubanks is able to get her back to the mat. Eubanks follows, and she’s go the arm-triangle in again, this time on the left side. Again, she guts her way through it. Eubanks again on the back after the escape, but she can’t get the choke. With time winding down, Eubanks postures and punches in mount. Round ends, and MMA Junkie gives it to Eubanks, 10-8.
Round 3 – Avila on the jab, but Eubanks answers back, and now they’re brawling once again. Eubanks shoots forward and drives the action to the cage. Eubanks tries to control the neck but lets go in favor of sprawling and digging underhooks. Avila able to turn and escape. Corner begging for her to throw the right hand. She does, and Eubanks slips under it. Avila defends the takedown well, but Eubanks stays with it and gets the fight to the floor on a single. Avila scoots her way to the cage and tries to kick off and create an escape. Eubanks stays heavy on top. Avila trying to turn and rise, but Eubanks working in left hands and keeping her opponent trapped against the fence. Avila trying to tie things up underneath and work free, but Eubanks adjusts each time. Avila gets her feet on the cage, but she can’t kick over. Avila switches her hips underneath and wants the armbar. Eubanks yells to her corner that she’s OK as she stacks. Avila running out of time. Her corner tells to crank it. She looks for the leg, but not there. Fight ends. MMA Junkie gives the round to Eubanks, 10-9, and awards her the fight 29-27.

Quarantillo battles his way off the cage and resets in the center. Quarantillo kicks the legs a bit, and Nelson throws another big shot to the body. Nelson still throwing everything full speed. They’re in the clinch, with Nelson pressing in from the outside. Nelson looking for the takedown, but he can’t get Nelson off-balance. Finally, he resets to the center. Quarantillo working the jab and scores with an uppercut. He works on the legs a bit. Nelson answer with a big right. Quarantillo now the one moving forward. Nelson still finding the mark as he moves backward. Quarantillo changes levels and scores a quick takedown, setting up on top and looking to strike. Nelson battles back to his feet, and they work in the clinch. Knee lands low for Quarantillo, and Nelson takes a quick breather. Quarantillo backs away. They trade strikes inside. Quarantillo grabs the Thai clinch. Knees inside. Quarantillo controlling on the outside, but he can’t get the takedown. They move away from the cage. Quarantillo now starting to land with combinations. Nelson throwing back with single shots. He’s starting to fade. Nelson wants a takedown but falls short. Round 1 – Patrick rushes forward immediately and wraps the body in a sprint, but as they hit the cage and fall to the canvas, it’s Green on top. Half-guard for Patrick. He turns to his knees and stands. Green lands a knee to the body as they rise. Patrick immediately back inside and looking for the takedown. Green defends well and then wraps his opponent’s body and slams him to the canvas. Green in side control. He’s trying to step over to mount, but Patrick keeps the defense in place. Green controlling the positioning. Patrick to his knees, and Green wants the back but can’t get it. Patrick stands, and he’s pressing in from the outside, still hunting for that takedown. Green defending well and again returns the favor, getting the fight to the floor. Patrick grabs the wrist and turns for the armbar. It’s dangerous for a moment, but Green spins with it and pulls him limb free. Green again on top in the final minute. Patrick looking for options, but Green postures and punches. Green stands in the final seconds, and we finish on the feet. MMA Junkie gives the first to Green, 10-9.

Green has to work, but he’s finally able to get past the right leg. Couple of punches score from the top. Patrick scrambles underneath, and he’s able to get back to his feet. Immediately though, he wants the clinch. Green finally pulls away, and they reset in the center. Green with his hands low and scores with a right hand. He’s baiting Patrick in to strike, keeping his hands down. Patrick is scoring to the legs a bit. But when he shoots, Green is ready. Patrick again kicks the legs a bit. Green scores with a right hand that stuns Patrick. He pops back up, and Green lands a knee. They finish on the feet. MMA Junkie gives it again to Green, 10-9.
Round 3 – Green punches his way into a clinch. Green wraps the body and is able to take the action to the floor. Patrick tries to roll into an attack on the floor, but Green is able to settle on top, and into side control. Patrick gets his back to the cage and is able to stand. Green follows and backs away. Patrick with a front kick to the body. He rushes forward but gets clipped with a Green right. Green lands another right and then drops in for a takedown. Patrick presses down and threatens to attack the neck, but Green pulls free and they move back to the feet. Green relaxed on his feet, keeping the hands down. Patrick has a high kick glancingly land. He moves in for a takedown, but Green spins away and tags him with a few punches. Nice low kick for Green. Right hand for Green. A second lands. It’s not much volume, but Green is having success picking his shots. Capoeira kick misses for Patrick. They finish on the feet, but Patrick quickly grabs a seat. He’s trying to keep range and use his distance. Herman rushes forward and into a clinch, firing a few knees inside. Rodriguez tries to turn to the outside, but Herman pushes him back. Second effort from Rodriguez gets him off the engage, and he pulls free and back to the center. Herman rushes forward with punches, but he eats a nasty counter elbow. Herman staggers. Rodriguez rushes forward but gets too close, and Herman clinches. Herman bloodied.He tries to brawl, but Rodriguez pulls free and pops him with a long jab. Herman pushes into a clinch and presses the action against the fence. Knee inside for Rodriguez as he slips off the fence at the bell. MMA Junkie gives the first to Rodriguez, 10-9.

Two minutes left. Rodriguez gets close but then backs away. Herman just walking forward and gets inside again. They trade knees. Rodriguez hits the body, and Herman falls to the canvas. Rodriguez rushes to finish, but referee Chris Tognoni calls time. He thinks it’s low. Replays show that might not actually be the case. Herman, though, taking full advantage of his time to recover. Veteran move. Rodriguez to the body on the restart. Herman clearly hurting in the body. Rodriguez kicks him there again, and a knee lands to the ribs again. Herman hits the deck, but he covers well and lasts until the bell. MMA Junkie gives the round to Rodriguez, 10-8.

Heck of a comeback, but you have to feel for Rodriguez, who probably should have had a TKO in the second round.

Modafferi working a jab while looking to get inside. Lee landing combinations and striking to the leg, as well. Modafferi moves into a clinch, and Lee actually tosses her over her shoulder. Modafferi happy to pull guard underneath, but she can only get to half. Lee with a few short elbows from the top. She’s trying to frame and get free. They get to the feet, but Modafferi refuses to let go. She’s got the body wrapped, and her persistence earns a takedown. Modafferi in side control. Lee to half-guard, but Modafferi locks down on the leg. Short punches from Modafferi while she looks to set up an arm-triangle. Lee turns to her knees. Punches and elbows from the back for Modafferi. Lee drives through and is looking to reverse thee position. She successfully slips to the back, but Modafferi stands. They finish in the clinch. MMA Junkie gives the first to Modafferi, 10-9.
Round 2 – Lee runs to the center and looks to strike. Modafferi keeps punches pumping while she looks to close the distance. Lee with a nice low kick. She’s firing in combinations and finishing with the kick. Modafferi jabbing and looking to get close. She’s moving laterally. Lee’s low kick continues to land clean. Lee with a solid lead hook. Lee’s jab lands, and the kick slams into the thigh. Combination scores for Lee. She’s very effective with her movement and combinations. Modafferi finally gets tight, but Lee hits a throw and then backs away. Lee firing in bunches and landing clean. Modafferi’s nose bloodied. Lee scoring to the lead leg, as well. Modafferi continues to score with her jab and is moving well. Modafferi catches a leg with 30 seconds left and gets a takedown. Lee looks for the armbar, but it’s not there. Modafferi finishes on top, but MMA Junkie gives the second to Lee, 10-9.
Round 3 – Modafferi with a kick to start. Lee breathing heavy but still throwing crisp shots. Low kicks land for Lee. Modafferi lands with a nice uppercut. Low kick for Modafferi. She’s definitely the fresher fighter right now. She’s pumping the jab. Lee to the body, but Modafferi with a right counter. Modafferi trying to outwork her opponent in the final round Stick and move. Lee’s output is slowing. She’s still the more powerful striking, but she’s lost some zip. Modafferi moving on the outside. Lee misses a spinning backfist, and that allows Modafferi to clinch and take the fight to the floor. Critical mistake there. Modafferi again locked down on the right leg. Lee gets to her knees though and stands. Modafferi not letting go, and she has the bodylock in place and scores a slick little inside trip. Modafferi heavy on the right leg again. Short punches from the top. Lee is on her hips, but she isn’t able to get free. Lee does reverse the position right a the end, but the bell sounds before she can do anything. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Modafferi, 10-9, and awards her the fight 29-28.

She’s very quick early and looks very relaxed. Waterson with a nice low kick. She drives forward and clinches and presses the action to the cage Hill defends well and pulls free. Hill with a quick combination as they break. Nice right hand again. Hill very loose, and she lands a right hand again. Waterson working the legs well. She tries again to clinch, but Hill pushes her away. Waterson’s kicks her most effective weapon right now. She changes levels and drives forward, but Hill defends well and stays upright. Hill having success with her punching combinations. She drives a knee inside, as well. Waterson counters with a nice front kick up top. Hill into the clinch and lands a few nice knees inside before Waterson fights her way off the fence. Round ends on the feet, and MMA Junkie gives it to Hill, 10-9.
Round 2 – Waterson with a high kick that’s short but then lands to the leg. Right hand over the top for Hill. Waterson again with the stiff low kick, but Hill capitalizes well over the top. Left hand for Hill. Waterson scores with a straight right. Hill finding real success with her hands. Waterson kicks continue to be effective. Small hematoma pipping up on Waterson’s left temple. Hill’s right hand is dialed in. She’s landing over and over. Waterson grinding, and she gets in deep on a single, but she can’t get the fight to the floor. Hill hops to the cage and spins off before pulling back to the center. Nice right hand for Waterson on the restart. She’s certainly not going away easy. They clinch again on a missed Hill kick, but Waterson can’t capitalize. Axe kick misses for Waterson. Close round, but MMA Junkie leans Hill, 10-9.
Round 3 – Pace still high to open the third. Both women having success. Waterson really starting to push the pace a bit. Hill lands a nice knee, but Waterson able to latch on and work a slick little trip to the floor. Half-guard for Hill. She’s flat on her back but looking to isolate the right arm. Waterson trying to work in short punches where she can, but she’s focused on holding the position, as well. Hill trying to threaten from her back but can’t really get anything set. Referee Marc Goddard calls for action, with Waterson focusing on position maybe a little too much. Hill turns to her knees and tries to stand. Waterson threatens the back, so Hill has to turn back inside. She tries again to escape, but the back threat forces her to the floor. Waterson back on top and controlling. Short punches from Waterson as time winds down. Waterson tries to pass, but Hill ends up getting to full guard. They finish in a scramble, and Hill lands what seems to be an illegal upkick. Clock continues to run, and we end there. MMA Junkie gives it to Waterson, 10-9.
Round 4 – Hill looking to strike. Waterson changes levels, but Hill able to push her away and go back to her combinations. Waterson back to the clinch. Hill circles outside and is eventually able to pull away. She lands a right hand. Waterson with a stomp to the thigh. Both women slowing a little after the crazy pace to start. Hill with a high kick that’s blocked. They’re trading punches now. The kicks still working for Waterson, and she’s able to get ins deep on a takedown. Hill defends well and stays upright, circles off and pulls free. Waterson in southpaw and lands a few jabs. Hook kick scores up top. Waterson switching stances frequently and lands a side kick to the body. Stiff left scores. Hill looks a little out of sorts right now. They clinch and trade kicks at the bell. MMA Junkie gives it to Waterson, 10-9.
Round 5 – Waterson out quick with punches and a high kick. Hill punches back. They seem energized to start the fifth. Waterson in on a single, but Hill able to push her away. Side kick to the body for Waterson. Front kick to the face for Waterson. She’s moving well. Waterson kicks the body again. Hill lands a stiff jab. Her volume has dropped, and that’s letting Waterson dictate the pace. Halfway mark of the final round. Fight may hang in the balance. Waterson the busier fighter, and she’s punctuating her combinations with kicks. Hill with a nice jab, but she’s not adding them together. Waterson looks takedown, but it’s not there. Her kicks are still landing though. Nice lead hook for Hill. She flurries and ends with an uppercut. Waterson with a spinning backfist. Waterson digging deep in the end and still flashing out the kicks. Hill into the clinch and lands a few knees inside. They finish with a flurry. Great ending to a fun fight. MMA Junkie leans toward Waterson again, 10-9, and gives her the fight, 48-47. Will be close.
